I'll stamp all over 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" the American as the combatants met personally to publicize the upcoming boxing match.

Ex twice world heavyweight champion Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

Despite these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK rival Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's biggest financial successes, consistently making substantial financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Size Disparity

As both boxers participated in the customary confrontation, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really happening.
